Johnny Rodgers event
OK - so let's use this area to talk about how this night is being planned. I think everyone liked the idea of starting our 3000 hours reminder here. We also talked about T shirt giveaways, and encouraging many families to attend. What else can we do to make the most out of Johnny's time at RiverTree?

We said we wanted to talk with the parents at the beginning about the partnership we want to form with them. The 3000 gumballs may be a good dramatic illustration of this. Please give your large see through plastic containers to one of the Staff members. Also, I don't know if we can do it by that night, but wouldn't it be neat if we could give the parents a list of resources available to them for those who really want to take an active role in teaching their children? Some may want very much to lead and teach their children but they don't know how to do it or where to begin. Maybe we can even acknolwedge that and tell them that as part of our partnership with them, we'll be working to provide those resources to them...

All great ideas. I agree we need to be careful not to put too many things out there. I did talk with Johnny and he is going to address at the end how parents can use the map books, etc.
